Suzuki Gixxer

Under the hood, the Suzuki Gixxer boasts a potent 155cc BS6 engine, delivering a robust power output of 13.4 bhp and a torque of 13.8 Nm. Ensuring rider safety, this Gixxer model comes equipped with both front and rear disc brakes, complete with an anti-locking braking system. With a weight of 141 kg and a fuel tank capacity of 12 litres, it strikes a balance between agility and endurance.

The Gixxer is a premium 155cc commuter motorcycle within Suzuki's diverse portfolio. In 2019, it received a significant update, breathing new life into a model that had remained largely unchanged since its inception. This current-generation Gixxer showcases Suzuki's modern design language, incorporating several enhancements over its predecessor.

Sporting an inherently sporty look, the new Gixxer features sharp lines and contours across its body. The oblong-shaped headlamp boasts an LED unit encircled by a brushed silver bezel. The compact LED tail lamp and conventional bulb turn indicators complete the lighting package. Notably, the dual-exhaust canister with a chrome-finished tip stands out as a design highlight. Inside, the Gixxer's instrumentation includes a white backlit fully digital console.

Nestled within its diamond frame is a 155cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine, revamped to meet BS6 emission norms. While this transition resulted in a slight reduction in performance compared to the BS4 model, it still delivers a respectable 13.4bhp and 13.8Nm of torque, paired with a five-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock at the rear, while disc brakes with single-channel ABS ensure reliable stopping power.

The 2019 Suzuki Gixxer offers a choice of three captivating colours - Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Sonic Silver/Glass Sparkle Black, Metallic Triton Blue/Glass Sparkle Black, and the eye-catching Pearl Mira Red. In its segment, the Suzuki Gixxer 150 price competes fiercely against rivals like the Yamaha FZ S V3, Honda CB Hornet 160R, and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V.

Features:
The 155cc engine, characterised by its lightweight and robust construction, utilises a single cylinder to achieve impressive power and torque outputs of 14.1ps@8000rpm and 14Nm@6000rpm, respectively. This performance is made possible by the state-of-the-art SEP Technology, which not only delivers top-class power but also ensures excellent fuel efficiency.

Drawing inspiration from the latest European design trends, especially the trapezoidal body proportions, this motorcycle exudes a charismatic character. The edgy lines of the fuel tank and the extended arrow-shaped tank shrouds pay homage to the original Gixxer design, establishing an aggressive and bold visual identity for the new motorcycle.

Enhancing safety, the Single Channel ABS (Anti-Lock Brake System) is a supplementary feature that efficiently controls braking force, preventing wheel lock-up on slippery roads or during sudden changes in road conditions.

The SEP engine incorporates six sensors, including an O2 sensor, intake air pressure sensor, intake air temperature sensor, throttle position sensor, engine temperature sensor, and crankshaft sensor. These sensors work in harmony, providing essential data to the Engine Control Module (ECM). The ECM, in turn, precisely regulates the fuel injection process, optimising combustion efficiency and resulting in improved throttle response and enhanced fuel economy.

The futuristic LED headlamp, designed exclusively for the Indian market, makes a bold and aggressive statement. Its compact size and slim design not only complement the motorcycle's sporty appearance but also contribute to easy handling and provide a wide and clear field of view with its exceptionally bright illumination.

The LED tail lamp design takes cues from the original Gixxer's taillight, featuring a compact design with highly illuminated LED lights that not only enhance the motorcycle's rear aesthetics but also serve functional purposes.

The redesigned instrument cluster is 13mm thinner than its predecessor, making it easier to handle without sacrificing the display of crucial information.

The dual exhaust outlet's new end cap design is unique to the new Gixxer, adding a distinctive and robust character to its sporty design.

To match the sporty nature of the new Gixxer, a split seat has been designed, not only enhancing the motorcycle's dynamic appearance but also improving ground reach by increasing the seat's contact area with the inner thigh.

The addition of a rear tyre hugger further enhances the sporty appeal of the motorcycle.

Finally, the large-diameter front forks, measuring 41mm, increase rigidity in the front section while reducing weight. This suspension, combined with the bar-type handle, contributes to exceptional riding stability and comfort across various terrains.
